The role
We are currently looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our established team at Oxford City Council. This is a fixed term role up to 15 months to allow for handovers either side of the maternity cover.

Your role will be to guide line managers on a range of employment relations cases including absence management, poor performance, organisational change, disciplinaries and grievances. You will be will attending formal meetings, advising on our procedures and best practice to ensure we consistently do the right thing by our staff. 
You’ll also have an opportunity to shape our future policies and processes through the review and update of our core policy documents as well as getting involved in project work across the HR function.

We would be interested in hearing from you if you have you worked at an advisory level and have experience in providing clear, pragmatic advice to line managers on core people policies.
We are a flexible team and welcome part time and full time applications. 

The role will be based mostly at home but there is an expectation to attend Oxford Town Hall as needed.
