IT Corporate Apprentice
We’re looking for an individual to undertake a Digital Support Technician apprenticeship development programme within Customer Information and Digital services.
You will assist the Service Delivery Team Leader and work with the Service Desk and Deskside Engineers on day-to-day service requests and incidents. Contributing towards the resolution of incidents and problems efficiently and within defined service level agreements you will learn transferrable skills to support a future career in the IT profession.
In this role we’ll help you to develop skills in supporting customers with both technical and digital skills issues from a range of different services within the council. We’re a friendly and enthusiastic team providing support and assistance to customers on site, remotely and via our Digital Drop-In Zone so you’ll need a passion for providing excellent customer service.
We’ll support you to achieve a Level 3 Digital Support Technician qualification in this role and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice your new skills in the workplace.
What you’ll need to join us:
To meet the requirements for a Level 3 apprenticeship you’ll need:
· 4 GCSEs at A-C (Grade 4) or above including Maths and English
· Enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, and motivation to learn and achieve
· Some experience of team-working, either in employment or through education
· Great communication skills
· An interest in a career in IT

We operate a 37-hour working week on a flexi-time scheme (7am and 7pm) and coordinate with one another to maintain a level of service cover between the hours of 9am - 5pm Mon – Thurs and 9am - 4.30pm on Fridays.
