Accountant
We are looking to recruit an Accountant to join our team supporting the Resources & Place directorates, who will report to the Senior Accountant.
The successful applicant will be involved in budget setting, budgetary control, closedown of the service accounts at the financial year end and the financial administration duties in respect of the service area. This includes providing financial advice, information and data analysis to assist managers in the delivery of their services.
The successful applicant must be numerate and computer literate, with a good knowledge of Excel in particular. They must also have a wide knowledge and experience of accountancy and the ability to give advice to non-finance staff.
As a minimum, applicants should either have an AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting qualification or equivalent (or be undertaking the Diploma or an equivalent) or be able to evidence their qualification by experience). Applicants will ideally have 3 years’ experience in an accounting environment. Further training opportunities are available to the successful applicant.
