The starting salary for this position is £26,080 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Team Administrator for our fantastic Children, Families and Lifelong Learning Directorate. You'll work in a team that is collaborative, supports agile working and values development.

The Children, Families and Lifelong Learning Directorate provides a range of highly specialist services to vulnerable children and young people. Services are delivered directly to children and their families within extensive statutory frameworks. Our Administration Team supports the senior leadership (Directors and Assistant Directors), ensuring the provision of effective and efficient business support functions for and within the team. The postholder will provide support to two Assistant Directors within the Quality Assurance and Performance Service.

Within this role you will manage diaries, organise meetings, support with email inboxes, keep track of information and take meeting notes. You will work closely with the designated Management Coordinator to the Director of Quality Assurance and Performance as well as other colleagues across the team to ensure that the Director and Assistant Directors have robust support in place. We'd welcome a conversation with you on what agile working may look like for you.

To be successful in this role you will be highly organised, willing to take responsibility and use initiative as well as comfortable in setting your own priorities and meeting deadlines. You will make sure that everything is in place to guarantee that all runs smoothly for the processes and managers you support. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential along with a high level of written and oral communication skills. You will also be required to work with a variety of different internal departments and other external organisations and agencies.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a solid background in administration
  • has excellent customer service and communication skills
  • is confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to their work, maintaining attention to detail
  • can prioritise and plan their own workload
  • has excellent IT skills and is proficient in using Microsoft Office
