We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Technical Support Officer to join our team at Building Control Solutions.

As Technical Support Officer you will play a key role in providing first-class administration support for our team of surveyors within Building Control, our partners and other departments within the Local Authority.

Building Control Solutions is a shared service between West Berkshire Council and Wokingham Borough Council.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating regularly via telephone, email, and face to face with the public.
  • You will be required to record and validate Building Regulations applications, issue decision notices and lots more.
  • Booking site inspection visits and dealing with telephone, email, and postal enquiries.
  • You will need to work collaboratively and positively with team members and other departmental colleagues to identify improvements in working practices, and customer service initiatives and assist in our continued drive to digital practices.

Candidate:

The ideal candidate would be highly organised, conscientious and a strong team player to join our very busy and fast paced Support Team. Customer service skills and experience are key to this role.
