Early Years Delivery Manager

Hours: 18.5 hours per week (O.5 FTE)

We are looking for a Delivery Manager for our three maintained run nurseries. You will join our committed and talented Children’s Services team at an exciting time, as we have a vibrant and sustainable EYFS provision here in North Somerset.
You will have a good working knowledge of the EYFS sector and make an immediate impact in supporting North Somerset’s three maintained nurseries. You will be responsible for the strategic development and operation of our nurseries and lead the establishment of thriving and resilient settings which provide sufficient, high quality and affordable places for local children. You will support the nurseries to provide the best start in life for some of the most vulnerable children, as well as securing their safety, wellbeing, development and progress. There will be a keen focus on ensuring a smooth transition for children moving from early years into schools which is embedded in the settings and schools. You will provide advocacy for the local authority nurseries in all strategic discussions to ensure that the needs of our youngest children are well represented in our planning and delivery.
In return, you’ll be part of the Council Children’s Services Team, but with a primary focus on the Local Authority run nurseries. This role will be carried out from council offices, in settings and partly at home.
This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
