JOB DETAIL:

Starting salary £31188.00 per annum (salary range is up to £37817.00 depending on skills and experience), plus flexible benefit allowance of £2007.00 per annum and vehicle allowance of up to £2,600 per annum.

Woking Borough Council is recruiting a Team Leader within Family Services to support resettlement and integration of refugee families arriving in Woking as part of Government programmes for integration; such as the UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS), Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP), Homes For Ukraine and wider schemes as approved by the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with a passion for making a difference and supporting families that need help.

The Resettlement and Integration Team Leader will be required to manage diverse challenges ranging from day-to-day requests to project planning. Successful applicants will be decisive, creative, organised and enjoy building positive relationships with a range of services and organisations to deliver the best outcomes. The Team Leader will be resilient, emotionally literate and ensure the team are well equipped, engaged and supported.

As this job involves contact with vulnerable groups including children, successful applicants will be required to obtain an enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Assistance will be given by the Council and further details will be in the job application pack.

Woking Borough Council take a robust approach to thoroughly checking anyone who has applied to work with vulnerable groups including children.

It is also a requirement for this role that applicants hold a valid full UK Driving License.
