About Us:

The City of London are seeking to appoint a three full time Social Workers to provide a flexible approach to delivering positive outcomes to our residents in the City of London.

The City of London is the smallest London Local Authority with a population of approximately 8,000 people. Known as the Square Mile it is situated in the heart of London with excellent transport links and has a vibrant and diverse community.

We are seeking experienced, motivated Social Workers who can be flexible, work autonomously while also being able to work as part of a team.

Someone who is passionate about Social Work and determined to make a difference. You will be able to understand and apply relevant legislation. You will have experience of carrying out a range of duties;  Care Act and mental capacity assessments, the enquiry officer for safeguarding, facilitating hospital discharges and being part of a duty rota.

You will have knowledge of specialist assessments, identifying positive outcomes and the ability to work in a holistic, person-centred way with a strength-based approach to enable residents to reach their full potential.

As part of a small People Directorate, we work and learn alongside colleagues in Children’s and Homelessness services. We work collaboratively with our colleagues in health, community rehabilitation teams, hospitals and occasionally out of borough to provide a seamless service with an early intervention and prevention agenda.
