Service Manager, Children’s Social Care
Rutland is a great place to practice social work and make a difference to children’s lives. We are expanding our leadership capacity in children’s services and looking for creative and inspirational leaders to join us in the following exciting opportunities:
Service Manager - Children’s Social Care Practice, permanent contract
To lead and manage Children’s Social Care services to safeguard Rutland’s children and their families, ensuring that services are delivered effectively and through integrated relationships with partnerships and other agencies.
To have Service Manager oversight of social work practice across Duty and Assessment Child in Need, Child Protection and Throughcare Services.
Service Manager - Quality Assurance and Standards, 12 month fixed term contract
To lead the performance management, quality assurance programme and continuous improvement framework for children’s social care services.
This role will have direct line management responsibility for the Fostering Service, Independent Chair Services (including LADO function) and includes managing policy development in Children’s Social Care and accountability for domestic abuse duties.
About you…
To be successful in the Service Manager roles you will need to have:
- Professional Social Work qualification
- Social Work England registration
- Experience of managing complex and challenging social work teams
- To be robust, support innovative thinking, offer creative solutions and encourage signs of safety methodology
