Commercial Manager
About Us:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to support the Head of Commercial Development to lead, manage and be accountable for the delivery of key components of the Council’s commercial strategy and programme, including the realisation of benefits.
You will be expected to demonstrate a high quality commercial ethos to develop and foster both commercial behaviours and approaches across the organisation.
You will lead the day to day management of the Commercial Strategy and Commercial Programme, and develop new initiatives and opportunities.
You will impart your commercial knowledge when working with colleagues across the organisation to support ongoing development and delivery of business cases and plans to increase commercial activity and deliver a programme of income generation and efficiency savings.
You must have the ability to review existing service delivery models, and support the development of commissioning and procurement strategies that reflect the Council’s commercial principles.
The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and stakeholders is required as well as tact, diplomacy and the ability to negotiate. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to achieve defined performance targets.
A Standard check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.
