About the role

We are looking for a full-time teacher for our KS1 class mixed years 1 and 2, who has a proven track record in gaining the best possible outcomes for their pupils.

Ticehurst and Flimwell Church of England Primary School is in a rural setting just on the outskirts of the small village of Ticehurst, within easy access to the M25 via the A21, and it has good rail links from Stonegate and Wadhurst to London and coastal towns. We have parking on site and a large staff room.

There are currently 113 pupils on role, aged between four and eleven years, and we have an independently-run pre-school on site.  The school is modern and has a spacious hall, new library, new ICT suite and classrooms - each with outdoor courtyard areas. The outside environment is extensive with a playground, netball court, pond area, gardens, outdoor gym, outdoor classrooms, playing field and a forest school.

Our school serves the local communities of Ticehurst and Flimwell; we also have pupils who come from further afield and have good links with the village and churches of both Ticehurst and Flimwell.

There are currently five mixed-age classes. We are a friendly and supportive team and leaders are especially considerate of staff wellbeing and workload. The teaching staff are backed by teaching assistants who help to create a strong team who work well together.

Visits to the school are encourgaed, please do not hesitate to make an appointment to come and view the school.  If you would like further information, please telephone or visit our school website at www.ticehurst.e-sussex.sch.uk.

Interviews will be held  week commencing 27 February, to commence in September 2023.
