Merseyside Pension Fund (MPF) is one of the largest local government pension funds in the UK and part of the Northern LGPS Pool and is actively engaged in investing collaboratively in pursuit of efficiencies across all asset classes.
We are looking for an Investment Analyst to join our dynamic listed Equities Team at MPF. In this role you will prepare extensive due diligence reports on European companies and sectors, and further support investment decision making and portfolio construction using internal and external sources of data and research. You will primarily assist the Senior Investment Manager in evaluating new investment opportunities, and for existing investments, regularly review the performance, attribution, exposure and risk metrics. Additionally the role also encompasses numerous admin tasks such as minute taking and responding to Freedom of Information requests.
You will participate in internal and external investment meetings and deputise for the Senior Investment Manager where needed.
You will be a highly motivated individual with a strong attention to detail and good technical skills including an ability to assimilate disparate information and develop well-reasoned and coherent conclusions. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. A natural self starter, with the confidence to use your own initiative, a keen interest in investment management would be an advantage.
