Tenancy Sustainment Officer
Applications are invited for the post of Tenancy Sustainment Officer, within the People and Place Directorate.
The post is offered on a full-time basis of 37 hours per week.
We’re looking for a motivated Tenancy Sustainment Officer with a can-do attitude, a willingness to problem solve and the desire to put our customers at the heart of services.
Your role will be varied and rewarding. The role requires excellent communication skills to engage appropriately with clients to develop an individual plan which identifies short term support needs and achievable goals. The role will co-ordinate the turnaround of emergency temporary accommodation to ensure accommodation is available and all health and safety checks have been carried out. If you are highly organised, a collaborative problem-solver with the ability to show empathy and support we’d love to hear from you.
The successful applicant must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent including English at grade A*-C and Maths at grade A*-G. Experience of working in a customer-focused environment in the housing sector or related field is essential. The ability to deal with the public in person and respond to enquiries in a calm manner is essential. Applicants should have good communication skills, the ability to deal effectively with confidential/sensitive issues and must be able to work both on their own initiative and as part of a team.
You must have the ability to travel efficiently around the Borough to conduct visits and attend meetings; a full valid UK driving licence and access to a car would be an advantage.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information, advice and instruction in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.
The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
