The post holder will be accountable for the strategic management of complex contracts and procurement processes that drive the GLA’s and Programme’s goals, ensuring a focus on delivering value for money and enhancing outcomes for Londoners. They will ensure integration between the GLA Group Clean Power Commercial Programme and other related programmes and strategies, accelerates the purchasing of clean power, solar panel installations on buildings, heat pumps roll out and buildings retrofit among public sector organisations across London.&nbsp; They will provide commercial expertise to ensure this programme is delivered to high standard, provide guidance and support, engage with key stakeholders, and work closely with senior leadership and the Mayor’s Office to deliver the Mayor’s ambitions.
They will work with a wide array of stakeholders such as GLA Group organisations (Transport for London, Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, London Fire Brigade, London Legacy Development Corporation, The Metropolitan Police Service and Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation), central government, London Treasury, Community Energy Groups, London Boroughs, schools, and other delivery partners.

We are specifically assessing candidates against the following criteria:
<ol>
<li>Previous experience of working in or with a complex political environment, preferably in local or central government. An understanding of local government, its roles, structures and relationships.</li>
<li>Experience of supporting programmes and/or complex projects related to housing, regeneration, economic growth or similar</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience of project / programme focused communications and stakeholder engagement, including experience of developing and implementing communication strategies and action plans.</li>
<li>Experience of using a variety of communications tools, techniques and channels (developing communications grids, utilising social media and new technologies etc).</li>
<li>Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines, and a concern for order and accuracy</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with external stakeholders and an ability to work as part of a team and to support others.</li>

<li>LGA annual leave entitlement is 29 days, rising to 31 days after three years’ service and to 33 days after five years’ service, plus all UK public holidays (pro rata for fixed term and part time contracts).*</li>
<li>Flexible &amp; agile working – office-based staff are required to work in the LGA’s London office two days per week as a minimum, subject to business need and this may vary significantly between different roles and from week to week.</li>
