In this role, the successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for customers residing in Private Sector Leased (PSL) temporary accommodation. The position involves ensuring that tenancy agreements are signed promptly and in line with council policies, with the goal of minimising void periods and rent loss. Deputy Head of Service - Children with Disabilities

We understand that family life is not easy and sometimes relationships break down. Our service works with families to try and understand what has led to the relationship breaking down and support them to repair and move forward. We are dedicated to safely prevent and reduce the number of children and young people entering care and provide direct and intensive support to children aged 8- 18 years old and their families in their homes over a period of 4 – 12 weeks and beyond if there is a need. As we deal with families in crisis and children on the edge of coming into care, our families require intensive support which means that we visit at least once a week and sometimes more, if families are in crisis. We often work with families experiencing domestic abuse, mental health issues, and substance misuse alongside child-to-parent violence and children with significant additional needs, including neurodiversity and trauma from abuse, loss, or bullying. We tailor our support to each family’s unique needs.
