We are looking to appoint a full time Environmental Health Officer within the Environmental Protection and Community Safety Department.
Working under the supervision of a Senior Environmental Health Officer your duties will cover the full range of functions undertaken by the Department including statutory nuisance, noise, anti-social behaviour, odour, drainage, air quality, contaminated land, private water supplies, pest control, environmental permitting, public health, planning and licensing consultations.&nbsp;
You will need to be highly motivated and able to work independently, with the ability to plan and manage you own workload. &nbsp;You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to use the full range of enforcement tools available to the Department to enable the early and effective resolution of complaints.&nbsp;
The successful applicant must have a degree in Environmental Health with experience in the field of Environmental Protection, however newly qualified applicants who possess a strong enthusiasm to learn and grow in the workplace are encouraged to apply.&nbsp;

Building Control Surveyor x 2
About the role:
We are looking to appoint 2 self-motivated and ambitious registered Building Control Surveyors to join our highly professional and successful Building Control Team.
You will need to hold min Class 2F or 3 registrations with the Building Safety Regulator and have Chartered Member, Member or Fellow Chartered Member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) or alternative acceptable professional body.
You will be responsible for undertaking plan assessment, site inspections and enforcement work across a wide spectrum of works ranging from small domestic projects up to large complex commercial developments subject to the Registration class of the successful candidate.
In addition, the role involves assessing and undertaking any reasonable actions to protect the public from dangerous structures, unauthorised works, demolition work and works that form obstructions to the public highway and participation in the Councils out of hours emergency call out service.
About the candidate:
You will have substantial experience and understanding of the role and functions of Building Control and have a sound knowledge of the Building Regulations, Approved Documents, allied legislation and enforcement procedures.
You’ll have experience of dealing with dangerous buildings and structures and implementing enforcement action when necessary.
Hold Corporate Membership of CABE / RICS or acceptable alternative.
You’ll need to hold Class 2F or 3 Registration with the Building Safety Regulator in respect of Plans assessment and inspection activities.
You’ll need to be able to participate in the Councils out of hours emergency call out service.
You will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills and be able to work both individually and as part of a team.
You will hold a full, valid driving licence and have unrestricted use of a suitable vehicle for business purposes or be able to otherwise demonstrate the ability to travel to locations in an efficient and timely manner.

The Bereavement Services Team are looking for an organised person to support them in providing a sensitive, compassionate and efficient burial, cremation and memorial service.&nbsp;
You will be based at Rainsbrook Crematorium in Rugby and will be responsible for ensuring that all cremations are carried out with dignity and respect and in accordance with current regulations.&nbsp;

The role will require you to be able to work additional hours dictated by the needs of the service, which will include some Saturday mornings and weekday evenings
