We have a new opportunity for a Repairs Surveyor to join our Housing Asset Team. Key responsibilities:

<li>Contribute to the continuing improvement of the SEND Service for pupil and their families, promoting the Local Authority’s values and working in collaboration with rest of the SEND Service.</li>

As a Senior Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) you will join a passionate and dynamic team, playing an integral role as, we collaborate with The Health Trust to transform our services and develop a dedicated social care pathway.
We are looking for a self-motivated and legally literate individual, who possesses the AMHP qualification. You will be required to work primarily as an AMHP within the service and provide support to junior colleagues.&nbsp;&nbsp;Those on the AMHP rota receive a generous AMHP allowance of £5355 - £7000 (depending on experience).
We are seeking a part-time 0.45 FTE AMHP but are flexible and open to considering how these 15 hours/week could be worked to support AMHP provision in the team. The role requires good formulation skills and the ability to carry out comprehensive risk assessments, and strengths-based interventions.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The ideal candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding, the MHA, MCA, CA and Human Rights legislation.&nbsp; They must also be a skilled communicator, have excellent organisational skills, and have good IT abilities. Additionally, evidence of continuous personal and professional development (CPD) is required. The Domestic Abuse Hub is a multi-agency team of Police, Education, Family Workers and Independent Domestic Violence Advocates. Between us, we respond to concerns relating to domestic abuse of all levels of risk. The Hub also coordinates the MARAC process.
About the Role:
As a Family Worker, you will provide support to families on a one-to-one basis, co-facilitate group work programmes and work with adults who have caused harm.&nbsp; You will be contacting survivors of domestic abuse and helping them to implement interventions to manage the risk and reduce the trauma for their children and themselves.

You will need to have a sound knowledge base in relation to understanding the complexities of domestic abuse and be prepared to work utilising a whole family approach. You will need have undertaken training or be prepared undertake level 2 domestic abuse training.

We are looking for a recent graduate to promote the awareness&nbsp;and understanding of the Life on the Edge (LotE) project: South Devon National Landscapes’ (SDNL) flagship nature recovery project. LotE is centred around the restoration and enhancement of habitats along the South Devon coast which will aid the conservation of 30 rare and threatened invertebrates.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational and IT skills and a keen interest in the natural environment and community engagement. You should be a team player with good people skills, be proactive, enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated with a strong level of creativity and innovation.
Involving people in the conservation of the LotE target species is core to the project, and our Communications Assistant will support in the delivery of our comms strategy to engage with local communities in South Devon and build our profile nationally. The postholder will assist in managing existing communication channels and media, whist also helping develop innovative ways to enable the project to improve engagement with existing supporters and increasing reach to new audiences.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, LotE is a landscape scale project led by South Devon National Landscape (with South Hams District Council as its accountable body), in close partnership with Buglife, National Trust, Southwest Coast Path &amp; Doorstep Arts. The Communications Assistant will assist in forging strong relationships with collaborative messaging and partnership working, whilst developing skills in communication experience on a dynamic multi-partner project.
This will be a 12-month contract at 0.5FTE, employed by South Hams District Council, the host of South Devon National Landscape, and based at our offices in Totnes. It will involve flexible working, with scope for some agile working and assisting with onsite project delivery so a full driving licence is essential.

About the role:
The role of IDVA involves providing a pro-active service to all victim survivors of domestic abuse who have been assessed as high-risk of further harm.
The role including assessing risk and delivering an individualised service which aims to address the safety needs of victim survivors and any children and/or dependents.
The IDVA will advocate on behalf of the victim survivor, ensuring that they remain at the centre of all that we do, providing advice and support from the point of crisis and referring on to relevant agencies once the risk has reduced.
The IDVA aims to support clients to improve their safety, to support their recovery and to achieve long term safety and reduce repeat victimisation.
The IDVA will advocate on behalf of the victim / survivor with multiple agencies ensuring their risk is central to support safety planning.
As an IDVA you will be:
<ul>
<li>working with victims at high risk of serious harm through domestic abuse, supporting them to keep themselves safe, understand their rights and options and support them through the Criminal Justice process.</li>
<li>completing risk assessments and safety plans</li>
<li>working with partner agencies to develop multi-agency plans to support victims effectively</li>

You will need:

<li>a good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse</li>

The successful applicant will possess an HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence along with City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Technology Parts 1, 2, and 3 (or equivalent). Applicants should be experienced in assessing and prioritising work to comply with deadlines as well as be confident working individually and as part of the team. Previous experience of working on HGVs is desirable but not essential as training will be provided as appropriate.
The post holder will be required to work 37 hours a week Monday to Friday. Flexibility is crucial within this role.

Family Worker - 14.24 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Domestic Abuse Hub as a Family Worker, specifically to support families who are affected by domestic abuse.
The Domestic Abuse Hub is a multi-agency team of Police, Education, Family Workers and Independent Domestic Violence Advocates. Between us, we respond to concerns relating to domestic abuse of all levels of risk. The Hub also coordinates the MARAC process.
About the Role:
As a Family Worker, you will provide support to families on a one-to-one basis, co-facilitate group work programmes and work with adults who have caused harm.&nbsp; You will be contacting survivors of domestic abuse and helping them to implement interventions to manage the risk and reduce the trauma for their children and themselves.
About the Candidate:
You will need to have a sound knowledge base in relation to understanding the complexities of domestic abuse and be prepared to work utilising a whole family approach. You will need have undertaken training or be prepared undertake level 2 domestic abuse training.

Leading the Countryside Rangers you will work with the Countryside Officer to manage Elmbridge`s diverse and extensive countryside estate. The estate covers 625 hectares of land and you will help with all aspects of countryside management including heathland, woodlands and wetland.
A skilled conservation manager with enthusiasm for nature conservation. 
An enthusiastic individual is sought for an immediate start. Must demonstrate interest in nature conservation and possess a current driving licence.
You will be able to demonstrate that you can,

<li>Implement the annual review of the Countryside Strategy, instigate and assist in its review, including woodland management, nature conservation and public consultation.</li>
<li>Ensure staff are trained in all works expected to be undertaken including training on Health and Safety Regulations.</li>
<li>Undertake and monitor tree works in the absence of the Arboriculture and Countryside Officer. Have an overview of the Arboricultural Service to enable informed answers to customers enquiries.</li>
<li>Procurement of countryside management works- for example forestry contracts and an annual ditch maintenance contract</li>
<li>Liaison with local conservation groups and recording of ecological surveys on Council owned land.</li>

The role would supervise the teams including monitoring of staff, which mainly includes employed staff with some agency staff, as well as distributing their work. This role is vital in delivering high quality public facing services to South Hams and West Devon.&nbsp;
No two days are the same assigning scheduled work, monitoring the performance of the service and providing feedback to staff on a one-to-one basis. Robust planning is the name of the game to ensure the days work is completed. Efficiency and adaptability will be key to delivering great quality places for our residents, visitors and businesses to enjoy. Working alongside the wider Community Services teams to provide a fantastic service for all.&nbsp; All this while making sure all Health &amp; Safety procedures and standards are adhered to, including accident and near miss reporting, as our staff safety is the highest priority.&nbsp;
So, what else do you need? Excellent IT skills, a great communication style and a good working knowledge of MS Office. Ideally you will have working knowledge of working in at least one of these service areas and experience of supervising staff.
