We are looking to recruit a practising Solicitor or Barrister to provide legal advice, support and assistance to council officers and members on contentious and regulatory functions relating to housing law, with a focus on disrepair claims.
The post holder will undertake the full range of civil and criminal litigation and regulatory law work including complex drafting, conducting hearings and appearing as advocate on behalf of the Council in particular in respect of Housing functions.
Substantial experience of complex legal case work (especially on disrepair claims), legislation and procedure in civil courts is essential for this role along with excellent communication skills.

The governors and leaders at Barnton Community Nursery and Primary School would like to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and inspirational team. We are looking for someone who has the skills and knowledge to work across our key stage one and key stage two classes. This position is for one academic year – from 01.09.2025 – 31.08.2026 in the first instance.
The successful candidate will work alongside the class teachers to deliver high quality teaching and learning to our fantastic children. We are passionate about our children having high aspirations for themselves and so we expect the successful candidate to have high expectations for all children including the SEND and most disadvantaged. They should also have knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience of working with primary aged children. &nbsp;
A full training package will be on offer to the successful candidate. We would like to hear from ambitious people who are keen to make a difference to children’s lives.
