About the Role The Licensing Section is part of the progressive, busy and dynamic Environmental Health department. About the Person&nbsp; You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be a good team player, and have the ability to work on your own initiative. A commitment to providing high standards of customer service and the skill and discipline to deliver this across a high volume and varied workload and to work to tight deadlines are essential.
We are looking for a positive, supportive, flexible and innovative individual who is not afraid to challenge current processes and ways of working. You will also be required to have a good standard of education with GCSE’s, ‘O’ level or equivalent in English and Maths and a current valid driving licence. &nbsp;A professional qualification in licensing or a legal or paralegal qualification in Licensing Law would be advantageous. Ideally you will have worked in local government or some other public service organisation and/or have experience in an enforcement role and &nbsp;experience of preparing prosecution files. &nbsp;Even if not, we still welcome applications from ambitious candidates who are prepared to work hard and are willing to train.

The Family Help Teams have successfully embedded the new Family Help model ensuring that children and families in Redbridge receive a seamless service from the very start of the child's journey. The Governors of Somerville Federation would like to appoint a Cleaner from 1st September 2025 or as soon as possible after this date. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and cheerful member of staff to join our Federation of schools. This is a permanent role following a successful probationary period.
The successful candidate will maintain the cleanliness and safety of the school to a high standard. The ability to work as an enthusiastic part of a team as well as having the confidence to work independently and using your own initiative is essential. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleaning and hygiene is a key aspect of this role.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

What is the job role?
