Required to support the operations of Environmental Services, helping the council to deliver&nbsp;its&nbsp;purpose of creating a clean, safe and accessible environment, ensuring that work is prioritised according to what matters to our residents and to always work to ensure service is delivered ‘right first time’.
You will work flexibly dependent on the day to day needs of each service which will involve; sweeping, collection and removal of all litter, dirt, leaves and weeds; the removal of fly tipped material i.e. furniture, household waste, tyres, white goods and garden waste. Co-ordinating with the Enforcement Team as necessary. Undertaking general maintenance work to green space sites including grass cutting, hedge and shrub pruning and also weeding to beds and boarders; maintaining street furniture including power wash and cleaning; maintaining street furniture including power wash and cleaning and cleaning duties of public toilets and recreational changing rooms by moping, scrubbing, sweeping out using cleaning materials and equipment.
Candidates will need experience in environmental operations together with good interpersonal skills and a clear understanding of what matters to local residents in terms of environmental quality.

The Private Finance Initiative Contract Management Service manage the Council’s Building Schools for the Future Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Programme which delivers a range of services to the secondary school and College sector (seven Centres for Learning) within Knowsley and the specialist educational provision at Bluebell Park.&nbsp; The Service manages a 25-year contract terminating on the 31 August 2034.&nbsp; These services relate to the management of the various contracts for the provision of the buildings, hard facilities management, soft facilities management, catering and any changes/variations as requested by the site leadership teams.

As a Community &amp; Wellbeing Worker you will play a key role in delivering Rutland’s physical health and wellbeing offer. Duties include:

<li>Developing and delivering evidence-based physical activity and wellbeing programmes for children, young people, adults, and families—supporting both prevention and early intervention.</li>
<li>Coordinating and delivering a range of early and focused support through groupwork and 1:1 interventions, including physical activity-based sessions.</li>
<li>Supporting and promoting the physical health, mental health, and wellbeing offer available across Rutland.</li>
<li>Collaborating with volunteers, community groups and multi-agency partners to deliver impactful, innovative solutions focused on active lifestyles and improved wellbeing.</li>

As a Community and Wellbeing Worker, you will be required to work flexibly, when the community needs support. A full UK driving license is required to enable the post holder to travel around the county. Evening and weekend work may also be required.
The successful applicant for the Community and Wellbeing Worker post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
