Working with person centred support plans and risk assessments our Supported Living Workers provide direct personal care using safer people handling equipment where assessed. The role can include supporting service users to manage their challenging behaviour, whilst always maintaining and promoting their independence. We adopt a multi-agency approach to support positive behaviour management, in the safest, ethical, and most appropriate way possible for those who may experience issues managing complex behaviour. Hours of Work: We have either 1 Hour; 15 Hours or 25 Hoursposts available. 
Pay Rates: The hourly rate is £13.26 to £13.47 per hour . SCP 5 -6, plus two increments for weekend working and a payment for working night at time and a third, when applicable. Sleep Ins are paid at:£41.78 per night.

Shift Patterns: Shifts patterns can include early shifts from 7.30am or late shifts up to 11pm, followed by a sleep in and/or an early shift the following day. Shifts can include sleep in duties, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays and shift patterns can change to meet the needs of the Service Users. There may be occasions to work additional hours to support the service whilst the team are on training, holidays, and sickness.
Examples of shift patterns are 7.30am - 3.00pm, 7.30am -10am and 2.30p,m -10pm. Shift patterns / rota's can include a sleep in shift, examples of times are 10pm to 8 am, or waking night of 10pm to 8 am.
Travel: Our Service Users live across several tenancies in the borough and rely on the flexibility and reliability of our teams to travel across the borough of St Helensto provide the care they need. A drivers licence is advantageous but is not essential.

Roles That Matter
St Helens Council are seeking to appoint an IT Engineer to provide IT support to primary schools within our borough. The engineer will be assigned a number of schools to act as the primary IT engineer, visiting them on a weekly basis, they will also provide reactive support at times and work on project work during school holidays. The role would suit someone with at least a years’ experience in the IT Industry looking to further their career. You will be providing both first- and second-line support to both staff and students.
You will have experience of supporting end user devices such as Windows PCs, printers, and iPads and audio/visual equipment. You should have knowledge and experience of basic networking, such as cable patching, wireless connectivity, basic IP configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience of administering users and computers using Microsoft Server 2016-22, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager would be an advantage.
Good customer service skills are essential as you will be liaising with school staff and children. A full DBS check will be carried out on any successful applicant. Experience of using a service desk is also required and an ITIL qualification would be an advantage but not a requirement.
You must be organised, be able to take ownership of service desk calls and be able to prioritise calls based on impact.
A minimum of one years experience working in an IT support environment is required.
Service coverage hours are, Monday Friday, 8:30am 4.30pm. However, this post requires the flexibility to cover service demands as and when required between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Salary: £28, 598 - £31,022 per annum

As an MST-CAN Therapist you will hold a small caseload of families, delivering intensive intervention with caregivers and children in their homes and communities to prevent re-abuse and neglect.
A relevant undergraduate degree is an essential requirement, as is knowledge of child abuse and neglect and experience of working within this challenging area.&nbsp; The ideal candidate will also have experience of applying psychological theory in their practice and delivering evidence-based interventions such as behavioural parenting techniques, CBT and Motivational Interviewing.&nbsp; The ability to work with children and adults facing multiple difficulties such as significant substance misuse, trauma and poor mental health is also required.&nbsp;
This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise and develop your existing skills as a child and family practitioner by joining a dedicated team with an emphasis on strong supervisory and peer support.
In addition to your salary, you will receive payment for being part of the rota to deliver support to families outside of typical working hours.&nbsp; This will be on average every 1 week in 3, but is arranged collaboratively within the team to take into consideration planned personal events.&nbsp; Payment equates to around £4500pa in addition to your salary.
You will be given full training in the MST model and MST-CAN adaptation techniques.&nbsp; This involves MST 5-day training, MST-CAN 4-day training and 4-day trauma training.&nbsp; These may be away from the locality and require overnight stays.&nbsp;

To work under the guidance of the SENCO and teachers to provide the appropriate levels of support to learners to ensure they are making solid progress in their learning.
Manage and implement Exam Access Arrangements for individuals in your care.
Support with the school’s statutory obligations in relation to pupils with Education Health and Care Plans, including liaising with external agencies, parents, and professionals.
Identify and respond to individual need through the delivery of appropriate curriculum, qualifications and / or intervention sessions to meet academic, social, and emotional needs.
Support vulnerable pupils to transition between key stages KS45 through a comprehensive programme, including effective CEAIG where required.
Keep up to date with developments of resources to enable vulnerable pupils to engage with the curriculum, including the use of assistive technologies.
Act as a point of contact for teachers for advice and support around SEND, wellbeing, and social emotional mental health for pupils.
Circulate updated information from professionals, parents and pupils to teachers when required.
Liaise with parents to keep them fully informed about their child; coordinating and contributing to meetings and workshops where required.
Build positive relationships with home and act as a key contact for parents / carers for vulnerable pupils.
Where appropriate and required, support families to increase engagement, attendance and punctuality of pupils.
Develop strategies for increased attendance which can be shared with families.
Advise on the appropriate deployment and use of resources to enhance learning activities, taking into consideration developing technology and the needs of individual students.
Ensure relevant documentation is completed and submitted to meet statutory and legal timeframes.
Use a range of data to track and monitor the progress of vulnerable pupils.
Where required, proactively liaise with staff across school to implement support packages.
Assist teaching staff in the delivery of learning activities and work programmes and undertake predetermined activities with students so that their intellectual and social development (including self-reliance and self-esteem) is fostered.
Provide input into the planning and evaluation of learning activities for individuals and groups of students to enable the teaching staff to make informed decisions when developing their plans.
Supervise the activities of individuals or groups of students both in and out of the classroom (including educational visits) to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical and emotional development in accordance with the school's behaviour management policy.
Monitor individual students’ progress, achievements and development and report these to the teaching staff/line manager to inform decisions taken regarding the Educational Healthcare Plan, Individual Education Plan, Behaviour Plans and Personal Care Programmes for a student.
Liaise with parents and carers in conjunction with the teaching staff to ensure effective communication concerning the students' well-being.
Record student information, as specified by the teaching staff/line manager to ensure the schools information systems are maintained.
To work within the mandates given, adhere to school (and TLT) policy, maintain confidentiality at all times, and demonstrate a clear understanding of the Data Protection Act and the implications that it has for managing school data.
Attend to the personal, social and physical needs of students so that their well-being is maintained.
Prepare and maintain learning equipment and ensure that the classroom is kept clean and tidy.
Attend staff and other meetings and participate in staff training development work and staff reviews as required.
