Making A Difference as a Prevent Development Officer in the Communities Department.
 St Helens Borough Council seeks to appoint a Prevent Development Officer to join the Community Safety Team. The key functions of the role include the local development and delivery of training, awareness and programmes to support the objectives of the national Prevent Strategy, which is part of the wider Government CONTEST Strategy. The successful applicant will work in close partnership with colleagues within the Council, Police, and a range of other agencies to ensure a co-ordinated approach to activity to reduce the harm and risk to individuals and the community. This is a complex coroner area with a varied, interesting and challenging caseload so will provide an opportunity to develop skills.
You will be required to demonstrate knowledge and experience of coroner law and of basic medicine, have proven skills in conducting investigations and an&nbsp;understanding of court procedure.&nbsp;You will also need to demonstrate the excellent communication and&nbsp;interpersonal skills necessary to deal with&nbsp;sensitive&nbsp;situations.

An exciting opportunity of Shield Team Manager post has become available due to the previous manager being promoted.&nbsp;&nbsp; Shield is an established child exploitation and missing service with ten years of proven impact in reducing missing and exploitation risk.&nbsp;&nbsp; Shield intervention is based upon a trusted relationship approach, utilising various trauma informed models of practice.&nbsp; Due to the successful outcomes demonstrated the team is now expanding with exciting developments in relation to supporting parents, harmful sexual behaviours, transitional support for care experienced, and incorporating lived experience.&nbsp;
This role will also directly be responsible for the line management of range of staff from assistant team manager through to child exploitation workers.&nbsp; The role will also have oversight of our commissioned interventions within the team.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
This role will require you to work with colleagues from across the partnership to ensure our safeguarding intervention response to various forms of harm is delivered to a high standard.&nbsp; A key aspect of the role is working in partnership with the police and other agencies to identify and respond to threats and risks in the community. This includes supporting intelligence gathering, mapping activity, and attending multi-agency forums to ensure timely action and joined-up working.
Previous experience of working within specialist therapeutic services and working in multi-agency teams, managing projects or people, including partnerships and using data intelligently to improve the way things are done will be an advantage.

Are you a skilled, experienced, resilient and proactive Behaviour Analyst who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people with autism?
Based in the heart of Chester City Centre, Abbey School is an Independent Special School for young people with autism aged 4-19 years whom may have additional learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge.
&nbsp;We support young people in transdisciplinary teams including teachers, behaviour analysts, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists who all work together supporting our pupils to thrive and achieve.
Due to the progress of Abbey School, we are keen to welcome additional behaviour analysts to join our team. Working through a person-centred framework, you will be responsible for designing, supervising and implementing teaching, learning and behaviour support programmes for children and young people with autism
Main duties will include:

<li>Working as part of a trans-disciplinary team to support the delivery of effective and appropriate teaching, learning and behaviour support in all areas of school life as a result of trans-disciplinary working underpinned by an evidence-based behavioural model of practice.</li>
<li>Being responsible for conducting functional assessments and developing comprehensive function based Positive Behaviour Support plans and interventions to reduce behaviour that challenges and monitoring the effectiveness of these plans through development of robust data collection systems and analysis of the data.</li>
<li>Using evidence-informed practices to develop personalised learning support.</li>
<li>Conducting a range of assessments including assessment for learning, assessment of learning, admissions assessments, behavioural assessments and assessments of maintenance and generalisation.</li>
<li>Preparing for and contributing to Person Centred Reviews.</li>
<li>Working in partnership with parents, colleagues and other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people.</li>
<li>Playing an active role in the school’s approach to Positive Handling, becoming a Team-Teach Trainer (training will be provided, however the candidate is required to be open to this training), and provide training, support and advice to all staff in Abbey School to ensure any use of restrictive intervention is used in accordance with the law and clear ethical values and embedded within comprehensive proactive plans to reduce restriction.</li>
