Careers Adviser

Are you a Level 6 Qualified Careers Adviser with experience in an education setting?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Careers and Participation Service supporting young people who are at risk of not continuing in learning when they leave statutory education and young people who are Not in Employment Education or Training (NEET).

You'll also deliver careers guidance services in schools as part of our commercial careers offer to schools.

You will work with a wide range of young people, from those who are disaffected to those who are gifted and talented, providing them with careers guidance and transition support to enable them to successfully participate in post 16 learning and maximise their future potential.

This will include:

• Delivery of one to one and group careers guidance interventions in education and community settings
• Developing and managing effective relationships with school staff and other appropriate professionals
• Promoting and growing the commercial careers guidance offer to education providers

As a Level 6 Qualified Careers Adviser you'll have experience of working with young people in an education and/or community setting.

You should  also:

• be able to engage and work with a wide range of young people, from those who are disaffected to those who are gifted and talented.
• have strong time management skills to enable you to manage a caseload of young people and education providers to meet objectives.
• have the ability to develop and manage working relationships with key staff in schools and with other professionals who are working young people on your caseload.
