About the role
Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to deliver a high-profile project that will positively impact on the lives of children? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you delivering the PINS (Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools) Project across Sussex.
The PINS Project is a national project funded through the Department for Education, focused on increasing schools’ capacity to support neurodiverse children. The project was delivered in 40 primary schools during 2024-25 and will be delivered in 30 additional primary schools over the coming year. There will also be light-touch support for the 40 existing schools.
The Project Manager role will be hosted within East Sussex County Council (ESCC) but will have a Pan-Sussex remit, working across East Sussex, Brighton and Hove and West Sussex, to ensure adequate oversight of PINS project delivery across Sussex.
You will have responsibility for leading the project, ensuring it is completed in line with the project stipulations. This will involve liaison with key leads within each organisation across Sussex and at each place, including Parent Carer Forums, LA education leads, NHS Sussex ICB leads, Clinical Leads and School leads.
We are looking for candidates who:
- are experienced in successfully delivering large-scale projects across and between organisations
- are organised and able to work autonomously
- are able to build effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders, taking into account their views and needs
- are passionate about championing change for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families
The post can be based in Lewes, Eastbourne or Hastings with an expectation of travel across Sussex. There is also flexibility for some home working as part of a hybrid working model. You will be supported through regular supervision and training.
