About the job
This position will be based in South West England – Ideally located in Devon. This is a key appointment within a rapidly expanding organisation. LHC is based in Uxbridge with a regional hub in Exeter and provides specialist procurement, technical and project monitoring services related to building programmes undertaken by public sector bodies, to enhance local communities. They are a not-for-profit “dot gov” central purchasing body, established and well respected throughout the sector.
Their mission is to be the recognised centre of excellence for procurement in the UK by ensuring that every pound spent on the construction and refurbishment of public buildings and social housing adds to the quality of life enjoyed by the communities we serve.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, personable and pragmatic building project professional to be the focal point for the delivery of all LHC technical support services. They will be field based, working between LHC Clients and LHC Appointed Companies, facilitating quality communication between all parties to ensure the needs of each are fully understood in order to deliver the best possible outcomes on LHC Projects. Providing technical support to all LHC clients throughout their building programmes or individual projects, with a particular focus on new housing projects, fire safety and planned maintenance.
What you will be doing
The successful candidate will through regular face to face meetings, deliver full range of technical services to LHC Members / Clients. Agreeing levels of engagement with clients and representatives including but not limited to; provision of service / price validations, attendance at project pre-start / progress meetings, delivery of supplier performance reviews.
Their focus will be to maintain effective liaison and contact with all parties during projects carried out under LHC Frameworks to ensure satisfactory outcomes that meet clients’ expectations. There after they will conduct post contract reviews for the benefit of all parties – the client, LHC and the appointed company – identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Experience of managing building and maintenance projects from site feasibility through to final building / project completion and handover.
A well founded understanding of building project management techniques and methodologies.
