Adult Services in West Berkshire has a new opportunity for an HCPC registered Social Worker to join our friendly and supportive East Locality team, based in the outskirts of Reading.

The teams are made up of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Social Care Practitioners who work collaboratively to manage the needs of adults in the community. We use a restorative practice approach to avoid building dependence on services. The work is very varied and involves working with adults with a wide range of needs and disabilities and this offers great opportunities for extending your knowledge and expertise.
You will need a working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding procedures. At least two years post-qualifying experience is essential for this part-time (30 hours pwk) post.

This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
