Do you have experience of managing and delivering successful homelessness prevention services? Are you looking for a fresh challenge in a more senior role?
In Northampton, we are investing in a major expansion of our Housing Advice and Options Service to deliver a highly effective homelessness prevention, assessment and advice service for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
We have created specialist roles for our large team of housing advisers, introduced triage and relief action roles to meet our obligations under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and increased management capacity to improve performance.
We are now looking to appoint an exceptional team player who believes that most homelessness can be prevented and has the skills, qualities and experience to develop new working practices and initiatives and lead, motivate and inspire our Homelessness Prevention Team and Homelessness Assessment Team.
To meet the requirements of this new and exciting role, you will lead by example and have previous experience of managing performance, improving housing services and contributing positively to inclusive and effective multi-agency working.
You will also have excellent communication skills and be a skilled and effective negotiator and problem-solver. You will be a clear thinker, work well under pressure and thrive in an environment in which priorities are constantly changing.
