About the job
We are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Officer to join our Quality Assurance Team within Adult Social Care.
The Quality Assurance Officer role forms a pivotal part of the Council's local intelligence gathering in terms of monitoring the quality of care being delivered by care service providers in the Borough and the post holder will be expected to:
- Carry out monitoring visits to provider services in the area;
- Identify areas requiring improvement in respect of care provision and make appropriate recommendations to the provider service;
- Report any concerns/risk factors identified during monitoring visits into the Council's Care Governance Framework;
The post holder will be expected to write comprehensive monitoring reports, attend safeguarding meetings as required and participate in the wider duties of the Quality Assurance Team, for example, supporting Provider Forums
- Prioritise their workload as dictated by the Care Governance Framework or through safeguarding investigations and by internal and external partners, for example the Care Quality Commission.
About the person
We are looking for candidates with previous experience of working in the care provider sector. You will be outcome focused and committed to enhancing the life and well being of our local residents, whilst ensuring a culture of 'putting our residents first' is maintained. Ability to work across council departments and with wider partners is essential.
