About the role
Surrey County Council is seeking to recruit a Team Lawyer for the Contracts, Procurement and Projects Legal Team. The position would suit applicants from NQ-2 years PQE.
The person appointed to this post will have conduct of a mixture of contractual work, public procurement and innovative projects. As part of the contracts team, they will be essential to enabling the Council deliver its Community Vision for Surrey in 2030. This dynamic team is routinely involved in:
- Advising on the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and public/administrative law matters;
- Undertaking commercial negotiation of legal documents;
- Providing solutions-focused and risk-aware advice;
- Working effectively as a team;
- Managing competing priorities to strict deadlines; and
- Providing exemplary client care.
The successful applicant will receive comprehensive training and support and have the ability to make a difference to the lives of Surrey residents.
