Team Manager: £48,093 - £50,857
Big changes. No excuses. That’s what we’re delivering at Wirral Council. We’ve got ambitious targets to meet by 2020 with children at the heart of our plans. To achieve everything we have promised, we need people who are driven and ready to deliver the very best.
Wirral Children’s Services is on an amazing transformational journey! Our most recent Ofsted report published in July 2019 states that “the quality of services for children has improved in all areas since the last inspection in 2016….social work practice is making a difference for children”.
We have a strong leadership team (judged good by Ofsted July 2019) delivering for children via our most important resource (our employees). We offer a nurturing environment which includes excellent supervision and development opportunities, backed by exceptional resources and systems, in a forward-thinking working culture. All this is underpinned by a wellbeing programme that recognises how hard you work getting it right for children.
You’ll be joining a close-knit team of like-minded, enthusiastic professionals, Achieving the best possible outcomes for our children. We provide our social workers with the support, freedom, equipment and resources to do their best possible work. We give you the tools you need to succeed and trust you to use them as you see fit.
The Council and partners have pledged to #bethedifference for children young people and families of Wirral. Therefore, we are looking for excellent social workers who have a real passion for making a difference and put children and young people at the heart of everything we do. Our #bethedifference campaign is also used to formally recognise the fantastic work of colleagues within the service.
We value social work and support good quality practice. We are looking to fill our last few vacancies.
No holding back. No excuses. Just change Wirral.
