We are seeing to appoint highly motivated and forward thinking people to the Adults, Health and Integration service which sits within the Commissioning and Procurement Division of the Council. The service is restructuring to take account of the exciting developments going on in Croydon including the alliance of health and social care providers and commissioners who are committed to an ambitious programme of innovation and change to transform the way we support the people in Croydon to be independent and healthy for longer and be able to access high quality care when necessary. These are newly created posts which have the opportunity to shape, develop and deliver the commissioning strategies for adults in Croydon.
The post holder will deliver strategic commissioning and procurement plans for Council categories associated with health and social care, ensuring improved service delivery, contract compliance and sustainable cost improvements and a range of associated benefits to individuals and the Council.
The post holder will assist with the planning, managing and co-ordinating work of a team tasked with delivering category specific commissioning and procurement programmes, and will identify and deliver innovative procurement solutions that result in good outcomes for individuals, provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organisation.
Croydon is committed to integrated working and as such, the role will be required to support with the identification and development of opportunities for joint and integrated commissioning activity and afford support and challenge to category managers and commissioners.
The post holder will be supporting one of the following areas within the Adults, Health and Integration service:
Community Support and Active Lives
Public Health and Prevention
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate procurement and contracting expertise, with a detailed understanding of these issues in a central or local government environment. As well as knowledge of e-procurement and e-commerce and their successful application within the public sector and have the ability to interpret and use complex financial and purchasing data to inform commissioning intentions and procurement solution
