Mole Valley lies at the heart of Surrey. The towns of Dorking and Leatherhead are the District’s main centres.
We are located opposite the Sports Centre which offers a 6 lane 25m swimming pool, sports hall, gym, aerobics studio and café and Dorking Halls, which provides a range of facilities including a café, cinema, theatre and concerts.
The offices are only a 2 minute walk from shops in the High Street. For those who travel to work by car we provide free staff parking alongside the office and the nearest railway stations are just a 5 minute walk away.
About the role
This role will provide an excellent grounding in understanding and delivering the principles of excellent customer service in a local government setting, whilst gaining a NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration.
The detailed training that is provided also means that you will gain a thorough understanding of working through revenues and other services and will be a strong foundation for a rewarding and fulfilling career within Local Government, customer or business related areas.
About the team
You will be joining a small friendly team in an organisation which is a great place to work with clear ambitions and a strong ethos of team work and collaboration.
You will be working supporting a busy revenues team dealing with customer enquires over the telephone, in person and via email. You will learn all about revenues which will include administering council tax and business rates.
You will also be working in a very fast service providing first class customer service to our customers.
