West Berkshire Council Property Team manages over 150 properties with a diverse property portfolio ranging from schools to leisure centres.
Our current requirement is for part time handyperson for Birchwood Care Home, Newbury, and you would be required to carry out minor repairs, scheduled checks and testing and liaise with external contractors.
We are looking for a committed individual with good all round practical skills in basic carpentry, plumbing, decorating and electrics. An awareness of asbestos and legionella is preferred but not essential.
You will be a strong communicator and be comfortable interacting with all levels and job profiles within the Authority. Being enthusiastic and reliable with a friendly manner is essential to this position.
A full driving licence is required.
