A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a HR Operations manager to work to develop and oversee the delivery of the Council’s HR Operations team. Reporting directly into the Director of OD & HR, the role involves the management of the HR Advisory, Policy and HRMI functions with circa 14+ staff.

We’re looking for an individual who can develop the most productive relationships with employees and their unions, ensuring that the management of people is in alignment with the Council’s business strategy. A fair and consistent approach to people management practice is needed whilst minimising risk and maintaining our reputation. You will drive organisational change by ensuring the business is supported by effective people management solutions and workforce transformation. To do this, you’ll manage a group of talented HR professionals providing expert advice, support and interventions for managers across our services.
You’ll need to show extensive previous experience of dealing with unions and senior stakeholders on a day-to-day basis. It’s imperative that you have an understanding of complex and multi stakeholder environments, as well as the ability to provide strategic policy advice and process implementation, and you’ll have worked within a large and diverse organisation.
