Lead Practitioner (2) To work across Sefton
Two suitably qualified and experienced Lead Practitioners are required to join Sefton’s Adult Community Mental Health service within North and South Sefton. To apply for these posts you must be a qualified and practising Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).
Sefton’s Community Mental Health Teams are integrated mental health teams and social care staff work alongside clinical staff in order to provide a holistic service to our service users. The teams provide a comprehensive and dynamic service to adults between the ages of 16 and 64 who require support from secondary mental health services.
The purpose of this role is to support the Team Managers, in the management, development and leadership of the social care staff within the team. The successful candidate will possess a sound knowledge of Mental Health and relevant legislation, the Care Act and Safeguarding and preferably have experience of supervision of staff and performance management. The ability to make decisions around risk and risk management is essential to this post, including confidence to make complex case work decisions in the absence of the team manager.
