Student Voluntary Summer Placement
Blaby District Council works in partnership with a range of organisations and voluntary groups. We have an exciting opportunity for a university student during the summer (4-6 weeks) to work with one of our local voluntary organisations in supporting them to create a development plan for their site.
The role will involve working with the voluntary group to understand what their ideas are, researching these ideas, prioritising them and producing a proposal for the group to consider and use in the future.
This placement will provide you with experience of working for a District Council and should help to provide a voluntary group with direction for the future.
The length of the placement and hours of work will be negotiated with the successful applicant. This placement would suit students studying towards or have recently completed their qualification in business, history, tourism or community development.
To register your interest in this placement, please submit a short statement about yourself and why you are interested in this opportunity by 15th July 2019 to firstname.lastname@example.org
Candidates will have an informal interview either face to face or over the phone.
For more information contact Phill Turner, Health & Leisure Services Manager on 0116 2727741.
