We now have an exciting opportunity to work within the Regeneration and Housing Service, to lead and manage the Council’s Environmental Protection Service.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Senior Regeneration and Housing Management Team and will lead and manage the Council’s Environmental Protection Service. You will be responsible for a medium sized team providing a range of services including private sector housing, standards and regulation in the private rented sector, houses in multiple occupation, empty homes, pollution control and environmental standards including blight.

You will be responsible for development, management, delivery and monitoring of the Environmental Protection Service ensuring the Service is customer focused and high performing.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering environmental protection related services, in particular private sector housing and standards in the private rented sector. In addition, you will need to be qualified in Environmental Health with good knowledge of environmental health and private sector housing legislation along with good communication and budget management skills.
