We are currently recruiting to the position of Environmental Health Officer, within our Regeneration and Housing Services team. The successful candidate will contribute to improving the quality of the Private Rented Sector by having a key role in delivering the Council’s Selective Licensing scheme.

 

You will be involved with the investigation of landlords not applying for a licence, breaches in licence conditions and enforcement using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System where appropriate.

 

The ideal candidate will be an excellent team player, have very good investigation and negotiation skills with excellent verbal and communication skills. You will need to be organised, motivated and be able to work on your own initiative.

 

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and experienced ideally with training and experience of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
