Service Manager – Building Services
£48,592 - £58,317 inclusive of outer fringe allowance

This senior role will make a significant contribution to the Councils priorities by leading teams responsible for managing the Councils General Fund Land and Building portfolio.
The role is responsible for managing the repairs, maintenance, facilities, capital works and safety of the portfolio. The role requires the post holder to have a strong understanding of the market, and bring innovative ideas to ensure building remain fit for purpose and meet the needs of services.
It involves ensuring robust processes are in place for reporting of repairs, inspection and programming of works. The role is also responsible for all aspects of managing the Councils garage stock, including tenant liaison, debt collection and allocations and buildings management.
In addition, the role has responsibility for managing the Business Centre’s Team, which provides office space for small and start-up businesses in the area. This will involve ensuring the safety of the buildings, proactive marketing, and tenant management.
The role is crucial in providing specialist advice on the management and maintenance of buildings, and will play a key role in the Councils development programme.
