The London Borough of Newham is a local planning authority in the east of London. We have an airport, majors roads and rail hubs, Crossrail stations opening soon, an abundance of schools, sewage treatment works, the delivery of 43,000 homes and the opportunity to deliver a substantial number of jobs during the plan period via an enterprise zone and elsewhere in the borough.

With such a comprehensive scale of development taking place, or planned, Newham has a task to ensure that there is sufficient infrastructure to support this growth. With schools, healthcare facilities and roads needed, and the ongoing provision of affordable housing across the borough, you will be part of a team that is ensuring that all of our residents benefit from development.
These posts will support the delivery of both financial and non-financial planning obligations and deal with the processing, enforcement and expenditure of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

We are looking for an individual who is a team player and is self motivated, enthusiastic and has the ability to manage a complex and varied caseload.
You will contribute to ensuring an efficient and effective service for the borough, including engagement with developers and other key stakeholders in enabling the delivery of quality developments supported by appropriate infrastructure.
