Service Manager; Disabled Children’s Service
This role is directly responsible for managing the teams in the Children with Disability Service. The Disabled Children’s Social Work Team run a duty service, undertake assessments and hold case responsibility for children in need through to children looked after. The posts holder will also be responsible for teams that offer support planning and reviewing services, behaviour interventions to children with a disability, and support for families who use direct payments. The position requires an excellent knowledge of disability practice and ability to work creatively with partners to embed the SEND reforms.
The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent knowledge of practice, a commitment to the on-going improvement of outcomes for children and a leadership approach rooted in relationship based practice.
This post holder will report to the Head of Service for Children in Need.
