About the role

Burbank is an 'Outstanding' children's home that is looking to recruit a fun, enthusiastic and energetic new Gardener/Handyperson to join our well established team.

Burbank works to meet the needs of looked after children both male and female, between the ages of 10-18 working to create a stable foundation which will prepare them for the next stage of their lives.

They will undertake routine maintenance and checks of the building and grounds and undertake minor repairs as necessary to ensure our home remains safe and well maintained.

Ideally we would welcome an applicant that is happy and confident to work alongside our young people to help them gain some simple life skills and maybe to assist with some creative projects that involve the young people.

You will need to have some transferable DIY and gardening skills and the ability to develop positive and appropriate relationships.

An enhanced DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formally known as a CRB) and the Children's and Adults Barred list checks will be required for this role.

About the Team

Burbank is all about team work and working together to effect best outcomes for the young people; in return we offer excellent support, supervision, training and development and the honour of working with some challenging, yet equally very rewarding young people within a therapeutic ethos.
