Project Support Officer (Strategic Transport)
The Strategic Transport team develops, promotes and implements transport policies and plans for Central Bedfordshire which are integrated with land use policies and serve to improve the sustainability of planned developments. You can find your greatness working on a range of strategic transport infrastructure projects and programmes that affect the authority, an example being a proposed new road linking the M1 and A6.
Our vacancy is for a full-time Officer however we are happy to consider part-time hours or a job share arrangement.
You will have a recognised qualification in Transport Planning and or Project Management, or equivalent in a relevant subject and experience of working on the development of successful transport strategy or transport infrastructure projects.
You will have contributed to successful partnerships and have worked with a range of external organisations.
You’ll have knowledge and awareness of key local and national policy affecting strategic growth and transportation and the ability to work independently and deal with complex work.
