Cannock Chase Council is looking for someone who has excellent project management skills, who is organised, highly motivated and enthusiastic and who thrives on working to deadlines and delivering projects on time and to budget.

This is an exciting and varied role with a great opportunity to lead on the delivery of a range of key projects within the Council’s Capital programme, from initial conception and development through to completion.

You will play a significant and important role in project managing the development and successful delivery of number of new medium and large scale capital projects including the development of a new cemetery for the district, new and improved play areas and new sport and recreation facilities.

You should have experience of managing capital investment programmes and of monitoring and accurately reporting on performance as well as an ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

You will also have a strong understanding of project delivery issues, including some understanding of the planning and construction process, and of development viability.

In addition you should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a construction or surveying related discipline or alternatively be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through on the job experience. You should also hold a qualification in Project Management or equivalent and have excellent IT skills in the use of Work, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
