An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced and qualified individual to join our Active Halton team at Brookvale Recreation Centre as a Senior Operations Manager.

Within the Active Halton brand (https://activehalton.co.uk/) there are three Leisure Centres, Kingsway Leisure Centre, Brookvale Recreation Centre and Runcorn Swimming Pool.

Brookvale Recreation Centre is a large, well-used, vibrant centre located in Runcorn, Cheshire. As Senior Operations Manager, you will keep up with emerging industry trends’, ensuring all programming is attractive and fit for purpose, capitalising on revenue for all activities, including pools, fitness, astro pitches, studios and junior activities. You will also mentor and develop your team, serve as operations manager and deputise for the Leisure Centres Manager as required.

You will hold the following qualifications; Pool Plant Operators Certificate & National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (there may be flexibility to gain essential qualifications prior to appointment or during probationary period).

As an experienced manager, you will have demonstrable experience of managing a team including training and development, performance management and recruitment.

You will also have a proven record in managing and preparing budgets and meeting financial targets.

With previous experience in the Leisure industry, you will have an understanding of membership management and retention systems and knowledge of the principles and practices underlying good practice in health and safety.

Key to the role will be your interpersonal and communication skills and a focus on delivering excellence in customer care.
