Working with Social Workers and other professionals, you will promote the welfare of Birmingham’s most vulnerable children, young people and their families; through the delivery of high quality services.
You will play a key role in assisting social workers to safeguard and promote the needs of children and families who are subject to LA care, child protection and child in needs plans.
You will assist with assessments, supervise contact and advise children and their families about help that is available to them. You will collect, record and critically analyse all relevant information, taking appropriate action where necessary; as well as providing practical day-to-day support for your clients; which may take the form of home visits, to check how they are.
You should be computer literate; and comfortable using a range of computer software; relaxed communicating with a variety of audiences through written, verbal or any other communication means. Flexibility is essential as you will work with your local and the wider teams; as well as being in partnership with professional agencies to achieve overall team goals.
