Support Officer (Licensing)
£23,166 - £25,425 inclusive of outer fringe allowance
37 hours per week
Here at Welwyn Hatfield Council, we are always looking to improve our services to the community. To do this, we are looking for a Support Officer (Licensing) to join our team.
Working as part of a small specialist team you will be responsible for all administrative aspects of licensing (except HMOs and hackney carriage/private hire).
You will act as first point of contact for all enquiries made to the service. You process all licence applications, ensuring statutory timescales are met and maintaining files for the life of each licence. You will support the work of the Safety Advisory Partnership, organising the meetings, setting agendas and taking and circulating minutes.
You must have proven interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively using a variety of media at all levels, while nurturing a range of multi-agency partners.
You should also be flexible in your approach and have the ability to manage your caseload within an environment that is subject to change and conflicting demands, working alone and as part of a team.
Please ensure you refer to the role profile for full further details of the essential requirements in this role.
At Welwyn Hatfield Council, we offer a fantastic range of benefits for someone who is keen to make a difference, including a generous annual leave allowance and a flexi-time scheme. If you are looking to broaden your skills in a licensing role than this could be the role for you.
Closing date for application 2 June 2019.
Assessments and interviews will be held on 12 June 2019.
