Are you an aspiring experienced Social Worker who brings passion and commitment to working with the most vulnerable families? Do you wish to work with teams of Social Workers with manageable caseloads, led by committed and passionate Team Managers?

Do you have experience in Children’s Statutory Safeguarding Services? Are you ingenious and innovative in your practice? Are you committed to achieving the very best for children and families?

Darlington is seeking to recruit Peripatetic Social Workers to work across two service areas within Children’s Services – Children’s First Response Team and Assessment and Safeguarding.  Whilst successful candidates will be deployed to work across the teams to support peaks in demand, assignments in each area are likely to last a number of months as you will be required to carry a case load.  We are looking for experienced Social Workers who can work flexibly and who would welcome the challenge of working in different teams as required.

You will benefit from working in a compact Borough where managing a caseload is not hindered by travel, giving you more time with children and families. You will have access to regular training and support from senior managers, as well as an up to date modern caseload management system and a Local Authority that insists on regular reflective supervision.

We offer competitive salaries, extensive training and excellent partnership working.  You must have completed your ASYE to be considered for this post.
