Job Title: Scrutiny Officer
Location: County Hall, Hertford
Salary Range: £42,683 - £45,591 p.a.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Hertfordshire County Council is a leading local authority and we are looking for individual who wants to be a part of a team of two staff, supporting elected members and to hold decision makers to account. This includes HCC departments and its partners and the NHS in Hertfordshire.
This role is a rare opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Council’s nationally well regarded scrutiny function. Working to the Head of Scrutiny you will support a key governance function that is ambitious and innovative. You will work with the scrutiny chairmen and vice-chairmen, elected councillors’ and officers, including senior colleagues at HCC and partner organisations.
You will possess excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills with strong political awareness and the ability to analyze problems and issues. This is a politically restricted role. You will have the potential for further development.
