Building Control Support Officer (Maternity Leave Cover)
Temporary contract, initially for 6 months with possibility of extension to a maximum of 12 months dependant on the return of the post holder
Salary Band C, £19,554 - £21,166 per annum, pro rata to length of contract
We are looking for somebody who is customer focused with great administration skills to work in our Building Control team whilst the Support Officer is on maternity leave. The successful candidate needs to be confident using a range of IT systems, accurate and methodical and must be able to organise and prioritise their workload and liaise with other team members to ensure customer's expectations are met.
The job involves the input of Building Regulation applications, taking payments, raising invoices, provision of advice to customers, assisting with the marketing of the service, scanning of files, calculating fees and providing general support to the Building Control Team.
Full training will be given to the successful person.
The ideal candidate will need good verbal and written communication skills, be able to work accurately whilst meeting deadlines and be an effective member of the team, helping others as needed.
Consideration will be given to applicants who would prefer to work part-time.
